IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Talor Gooch was one of 10 players to receive all-conference recognition on Thursday with the announcement of the Big 12 Conference's men's golf postseason awards.
A native of Midwest City, Okla., Gooch has tallied a pair of top-five finishes on the year, placing fifth at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational before posting a runner-up showing at the Puerto Rico Classic earlier this spring.
In nine starts this year, Gooch has finished among the top 15 on six occasions. The sophomore has been the Cowboys' top finisher four times and currently ranks 28th nationally in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.
The all-conference team was identified using the top 10 highest-ranked golfers according to the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings following the Big 12 Championship.
