Cowboys Finish Ninth In Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a closing 286 during Sunday's third round at the Insperity Augusta State Invitational to finish in ninth place at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The Cowboys finished with a 4-under tally of 860 to come in two shots behind South Carolina and Virginia Tech at the par-72, 7,143-yard layout. Texas and tournament host Augusta State shared the top spot on the leaderboard at 838. The Longhorns defeated the Jaguars in a two-hole playoff.
TCU's Julien Brun took home medalist honors after closing with a 69 for a 202 total and a one-shot victory.
Sophomore Talor Gooch led the Cowboy starting five, tying for 12th place at 210 after closing with a 71.
Junior Sean Einhaus was one of three Cowboys to finish tied for 41st place at 218 after closing with a 72. Joining Einhaus at 218 were sophomore Brad Gehl and redshirt freshman Patrick Winther, who closed with rounds of 72 and 71, respectively.
Sophomore Ian Davis finished with a 73 to tie for 48th place at 219.
The Cowboys will be back in action on April 21 at the Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas.
