AUGUSTA, Ga. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a 36-hole total of 574 on Saturday at the Insperity Augusta State Invitational to stand in eighth place at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The Cowboys followed an opening 290 with a 284 and will begin their final round three shots behind Coastal Carolina for seventh place at the par-72, 7,143-yard layout. Texas and tournament host Augusta State shared the top spot on the leaderboard at 17-under 559.
TCU's Julien Brun grabbed the individual lead with rounds of 68 and 65 giving him an 11-under total of 133.
OSU sophomore Talor Gooch followed an opening 71 with a 68 to stand in a tie for fifth place at 139.
Junior Sean Einhaus posted rounds of 74 and 72 to finish at 146 and tied for 45th. Also among the group at 146 was sophomore Brad Gehl, who carded rounds of 71 and 75, and sophomore Ian Davis, who signed for rounds of 74 and 72.
Redshirt freshman Patrick Winther came in tied for 52nd place at 147 after rounds of 75 and 72.
The Cowboys will begin tomorrow's final round at 8:30 a.m. and will be grouped with Clemson, Baylor and Virginia Tech.
