Randle a Doak Walker Award Semifinalist

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State running back Joseph Randle is one of 10 semifinalists for the 2012 Doak Walker Award presented to the nation's top running back, it was announced today.
The Big 12's leading rusher, Randle averages 116.8 rushing yards per game and is averaging 5.34 yards per carry. He has reached the 100-yard rushing mark in six of the Cowboys' eight games this year and his six 100-yard rushing games leads the Big 12.
With 934 rushing yards this year, Randle is only 66 yards away from becoming only the six Oklahoma State player ever to rush for 1,000 yards more than once in his career.
He is the only Big 12 player included among this year's Doak Walker Award semifinalists.
Members of the Doak Walker Award National Selection Committee will cast their votes to determine the 2012 finalists. On Monday, November 19, three finalists will be named. A second vote by the Doak Walker Award National Selection Committee will determine the recipient. The 2012 Doak Walker Award recipient will be announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Thursday, December 6, on ESPN.
