Oklahoma State Team Notes
* Game captains were Isaiah Anderson, Alex Elkins, Nigel Nicholas and Zack Craig.
* For the third consecutive year, both Oklahoma State and Oklahoma were ranked entering the Bedlam Game. OSU was No. 22 in the Associated Press poll and OU was No. 14 by the AP.
* Oklahoma State's 48 points scored represents its highest point total ever in the series, surpassing its previous best scored, which was a 47-0 win over the Sooners in 1945.
* OSU's point total also marked the third year in a row and fourth time in the last five years the Cowboys have scored 40 points against the Sooners.
* Oklahoma State held a 14-3 lead at the end of the first quarter despite running only 12 offensive plays. The Pokes were bolstered by linebacker Lyndell Johnson's interception and 46-yard return to the OU nine-yard line to set up their second touchdown.
* For the 38th consecutive game, Oklahoma State had a scoring drive that took less than two minutes off the clock.
* For the ninth time in 11 games this year, Oklahoma State had at least one scoring drive that took less than one minute off the clock.
* For the fifth straight game, Oklahoma State's defense kept its opponent off the scoreboard on its first possession of the game.
* The 75-yard Clint Chelf-to-Josh Stewart touchdown pass on the first play of the second half was OSU's longest play from scrimmage this season. It also marked OSU's sixth one-play touchdown drive this season.
* Saturday's contest marked the first overtime contest for OSU since its 41-38 victory over Stanford in last season's Fiesta Bowl.
Oklahoma State Player Notes
* Joseph Randle scored four touchdowns in the game. Barry Sanders is the only Cowboy with more in a game (five touchdowns against Wyoming, Kansas and Tulsa in 1988).
* Joseph Randle's four rushing touchdowns moved him from 16th into ninth on the OSU single-season list with 14.
* Joseph Randle moved past two-time consensus All-American Kendall Hunter and into sole possession of fourth place on the OSU career rushing touchdown list. With 40 career rushing scores, Randle only trails 1988 Heisman winner Barry Sanders (48), 1977 Heisman runner-up Terry Miller (43) and NFL and College Football Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas (43) on the Cowboy chart.
* Joseph Randle bagged his fifth multi-touchdown game of the season and the 13th multi-touchdown game of his career. It was his third career game with four touchdowns.
* Joseph Randle tallied 113 rushing yards for his seventh 100-yard game of the season and his first since the Cowboys' Oct. 27 contest against TCU.
* Bolstered by a 75-yard touchdown grab on the first play of the second half, Josh Stewart finished with 11 catches for 150 yards. It was Stewart's fourth 100-yard game of the season.
* Clint Chelf's 38-yard first-quarter run that set up OSU's first touchdown was the longest of his career.
* Lyndell Johnson's first-quarter interception was his second of the season, with the first coming in the opener against Savannah State. His 46-yard return to the OU nine-yard line to set up the Cowboys' second touchdown was OSU's longest defensive return of the year.
* True freshman receiver Blake Webb earned his first career start to become the 19th different Cowboy to make his first career start this season.
