Team captains for the Cowboys for tonight's game were receiver Josh Cooper, defensive end Jamie Blatnick and kicker/punter Quinn Sharp.
Arizona won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. Oklahoma State received the kickoff to begin the game.
The nine-play, 88-yard scoring drive to open the game was the longest scoring drive of the season for the Cowboys.
Senior Wilson Youman played both offense and defense for the second game in a row. He lined up at tight end, catching a pass on the game's very first play, and also played defensive end.
For the second game this season, the Cowboys scored a touchdown on the first possession of the game and then forced their opponent to punt on its first possession.
Junior Kye Staley had the first pass reception of his career (a 5-yard catch in the first quarter) and the first rushing attempt of his career (a 4-yard gain in the second period) in tonight's game.
Junior Justin Blackmon has now caught a pass of at least 29 yards in 15 straight games.
Senior Brandon Weeden completed his first 13 passes to open the game. His first incompletion didn't come until there was 1:12 remaining in the first quarter. He finished the first quarter 17-of-18 passing for 141 yards and a touchdown.
