Cowgirls Earn Highest-Ever Ranking

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State reached the highest national ranking in program history today when the Cowgirls came in at No. 4 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Rankings.
OSU had matched its previous-best national ranking last week at No. 5. The Cowgirls also ended the 2010 season ranked fifth in the final NSCAA poll. They were ranked 14th in the NSCAA's 2011 preseason poll.
Coach Colin Carmichael's squad is off to a 7-0-0 start in 2011, the fourth-best start in program history. OSU has outscored its opponents by a 19-1 margin, and the Cowgirls lead the Big 12 Conference in goals, goals allowed, shutouts and goals against average.
OSU returns to action this weekend at the Trojan Invitational in Los Angeles, where the Cowgirls will take on host USC and San Diego.
