Cowboy Golf Moves Into Second Place

BURLINGTON, Iowa - Oklahoma State's men's golf team used a 1-over 289 during its second round at the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Monday to move into second place at Spirit Hollow Golf Course.
With one round remaining, OSU stands at 4-under 572 and two shots off the pace of Chattanooga, which carded a 291 during its second round to finish at 570. Arkansas posted a 294 on Monday at the par-72, 7,010-yard layout for a 574 total.
Chattanooga's Stephan Jaeger posted a 69 to finish the day at 8-under 136 and one shot clear of OSU's Sean Einhaus.
Einhaus followed an opening 68 with a 69 of his own to get to his 137 total. After a bogey at the second, the Cowboy junior birdied the next two holes to move under par. After tacking on a birdie at the ninth, Einhaus bogeyed the first two holes of his inward nine to move back to level par. However, he posted three more birdies over his closing six holes to get to his 3-under score.
Junior Drew Page posted a 74 during his second round to stand in a tie for the 16th at 145.
Sophomore Talor Gooch's 77 tied him for 23rd at 148 in a group that included teammate Kevin Dougherty. The sophomore posted a 75 during his second round to move into the group at 148.
Sophomore Ian Davis rebounded from an opening 78 with a 71 to move into a tie for 33rd with a 149 total.
The Cowboys will begin their final round tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. and will be grouped with Chattanooga and Arkansas.
