STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State defensive standouts Brodrick Brown and Shaun Lewis are included on the list of 16 ESPY Award nominees in the category of Best Play and a fan vote will determine if the Cowboy duo earns a spot among the four finalists.
Brown and Lewis teamed up for a spectacular interception against Oklahoma on Nov. 27 in which Brown tight-roped the sideline, then exploded airborne and fully extended himself to intentionally deflect a pass into the hands of Lewis. The play was judged as the best of the 2010 college football season by numerous media organizations.
Fans have the chance to select the finalists and winners by voting online at espn.com/espys. The top plays are seeded and placed into a bracket for fans to vote for their favorites. They will be narrowed down until the final four plays remain which will be revealed during the ESPYs Countdown show on July 13th on ESPN. Fans will continue to vote for the four finalists leading up to and during the live show and the winner will be announced on stage.
The voting starts today with the round of 16, where Brown and Lewis are the No. 6 seed and go head-to-head against No. 11 seed Anthony Pettis, who connected on a kick in an MMA fight. Fan voting for the round of 16 runs from today through July 6.
