COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team wrapped up its weekend in Texas Saturday with a 5-2 loss to No. 33 Texas A&M at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.

The Aggies earned the opening doubles point after winning at Nos. 1 and 2, but Cowgirls Sasha Belova and Leyla Simmons picked up a win over Stephanie Davidson and Sheri Olivier at No. 3, 8-6.

Oklahoma State fell behind 3-0 after surrendering singles matches on court Nos. 2 and 1, but responded with straight-set wins from Kanyapat Narattana and Sarah Meghoufel at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively, to close the gap to 3-2.

That was as close as the Cowgirls would get, however, as the Aggies answered with wins in the last two matches finished for a 5-2 final score.

OSU women's tennis, now 6-13 (2-6), resumes play April 15 as it takes on Kansas at the DeBois Tennis Complex in Stillwater.
