Big Day For Cowboys On Tour

STILLWATER, Okla. - A quartet of former Oklahoma State golfers produced top-10 finishes in professional events over the weekend, including a victory by Michael Bradley at the Puerto Rico Open.
Bradley, who won the event for the second time in three years, beat Troy Matteson on the first playoff hole to garner his fourth career PGA Tour victory. A three-time All-American for the Cowboys, he carded four-straight 68s to finish at 16-under 272 and tied with Matteson.
The two players returned to the par-5 18th at Trump International Golf Club where Bradley won the event with a par against Matteson's bogey.
Joining Bradley in the top 10 was former Cowboy Chris Tidland. A two-time first-team All-American, he posted an 11-under 277 total that included a 63 during his second round to finish tied for seventh place.
OSU got a pair of top 10s stateside as well with former All-Americans Rickie Fowler and Hunter Mahan finishing eighth and ninth, respectively, at the World Golf Championships Cadillac Championship. Playing at the TPC Blue Monser at Doral in Doral, Florida, Fowler fired a 6-under 66 to finish at 10-under 278 and alone in eighth place. The finish was his second top 10 in six starts thus far in 2011.
Mahan's tournament included an opening round of 64 before he closed with a 73 to finish at 279 and in ninth place. For Mahan, the finish marked his fourth top-10 showing in seven starts this season.
