The Huskers took their first double-digit lead on Toney McCray's 3-pointer, and it was a 15-point game after Caleb Walker's 3-pointer and Brandon Richardson's layup off a steal with 7:41 left.
Ray Penn hit back-to-back 3s to pull the Cowboys within 60-51 with 4:41 left, but Brandon Ubel made an 18-footer to put Nebraska back up by 11.
Nebraska outscored the Cowboys 12-6 the last 8 minutes of the first half to turn a 19-19 tie into a 31-25 halftime lead.
