Cowboys To Open Season In Hawaii

WAIKALOA, Hawaii - Oklahoma State's men's golf team will get its spring season underway on Wednesday when it begins play at the 21st annual Ameri Ari Invitational at the Waikoloa Kings' Course.
The second-ranked Cowboys will be one of 20 teams in the field at the event. The tournament will consist of 54 holes with 18 being played each day beginning Wednesday.
OSU is coming off an impressive fall that saw head coach Mike McGraw's squad win twice in four starts. The Cowboys claimed titles at the Ping/Golfweek Preview and the Jack Nicklaus Invitational.
Last year, OSU finished fifth at the event with then-junior Kevin Tway placing third. Morgan Hoffmann, a sophomore a year ago, also played in the event, finishing tied for 29th.
Joining Tway, who enters play ranked fifth nationally, in the OSU starting five will be Hoffmann, sophomore Drew Page, redshirt freshman Kevin Dougherty as well as true freshman Talor Gooch.
