Randle A Doak Walker Award Semifinalist

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State sophomore running back Joseph Randle is one of 10 semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award given to the nation's top running back, it was announced today.
Randle has been a dominant force in the Cowboy offense, accounting for a staggering 20 touchdowns and 101.7 rushing yards per game on 6.1 yards per carry through nine games this season. His work in the backfield has the Cowboys undefeated and ranked No. 2 in the current BCS standings. Randle boasts five 100-yard rushing games, highlighted by one of the best all-purpose games of the year when he racked up 15 carries for 121 yards and nine catches for 99 yards in the Cowboys' win over Arizona.
He leads the Big 12 and ranks second nationally in both scoring per game and touchdowns scored and he is fourth nationally with 18 rushing touchdowns.
Members of the Doak Walker Award National Selection Committee will cast their votes to determine the 2011 finalists. On Monday, November 21, three finalists will be named, and a second vote by the Doak Walker Award National Selection Committee will determine the recipient. The 2011 Doak Walker Award recipient will be announced live on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Thursday, December 8 on ESPN.
