OSU Mourns Loss Of Former Radio Voice Bob Barry

STILLWATER - Bob Barry, Sr., who was the voice of Oklahoma State football and men's basketball from 1973 through 1990, has died.
He is the father of KFOR sports director Bob Barry Jr.
Bob Sr., as he was known, remained popular with Cowboy and Oklahoma Sooner fans throughout his career, after having served as the radio voice of both schools during his 50-year career in broadcasting.
It was Barry who was calling the OSU action during the playing days of OSU football coach Mike Gundy.
"Bob Barry was a very close friend of our family and a true legend in the state of Oklahoma," Gundy said. "He always had a smile and a great sense of humor. From the Gundy family and the entire Oklahoma State family, we send our thoughts and prayers."
"On behalf of the Oklahoma State athletic family, we were saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Barry Sr.," said OSU athletic director Mike Holder. "He was a true broadcasting great. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family."
