Cross Country With 19 Athletes Named Academic All-Big 12

STILLWATER, Okla. – Nineteen Oklahoma State cross country student athletes have been named to the Academic All-Big 12 Cross Country Team, the conference announced today.
Seven men earned first-team honors: seniors German Fernandez, Colby Lowe and Mark Nelson, as well sophomore Tom Farrell and redshirt freshmen Kirubel Erassa, David Osborn and Nick Thorp. Sophomores Taylor Monaghan and Klaus Smith earned second-team recognition.
The women had eight athletes earn first team honors, including sophomore Caileigh Glenn, who was nominated with a 4.0 GPA. The other seven are seniors Brandi Andrews, Victoria Fratczak, Laura Heaton and Teran Mixon, junior Jackie Campos and sophomores Jori Davis and Kate Kujawa.
Junior Melanie Funke and sophomore Natalja Piliusina earned second-team honors.
To qualify as a first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection, a student-athlete must maintain a GPA of 3.20 or better, while second-team selections maintain a GPA of 3.00-3.19
