Oklahoma State's captains for today's game vs Texas were: #3 QB Brandon Weeden, #13 P/K Quinn Sharp, #37 LB Alex Elkins and #50 DE Jamie Blatnick.
- Oklahoma State's 38 points today are the most ever by a Cowboy squad against the Longhorns in Austin.
- Oklahoma State is the first team in the last 100 years to beat Texas in back-to-back seasons in Austin. The last team to accomplish that feat was Oklahoma in 1910-11.
- With the win today, OSU has now won eight-straight road games, tying Oregon for the second-longest active streak in the country. The Ducks host Arizona State at home. Virginia Tech has the longest active streak at 10 games entering Saturday's contests.
- Oklahoma State forced three Texas' turnovers while committing just one. The Cowboys have a 17:4 turnover ratio during the last four games.
- Safety Markelle Martin made his 30-consecutive start today against Texas.th
- Caleb Lavey recorded his first-career interception at the 9:49 mark of the first quarter.
- James Thomas' interception late in the game is his third of the season, tying Broderick Brown for the team high this season.
- Joseph Randle's 1-yard TD run with 8:32 remaining in the first quarter is the first touchdown Texas has given up in a first period this season. The Longhorn defense had only allowed 15 points (five field goals) in the first quarter of their first five games.
- With a 30-yard TD run by Jeremy Smith just before halftime, he extended his streak of consecutive games with a rushing TD to 10 games, dating back to the Texas game of 2010.
- Smith's streak of 10-straight games with a rushing TD ties Terry Miller for the second-longest streak in school history. Barry Sanders scored a touchdown by rush in 15-consecutive games. Thurman Thomas had nine-straight contests with a scoring rush.
- Smith now has the three longest rushing plays by the Cowboys this season. He had a 38 yarder against Kansas and had a 30-yard run and the 74-yard TD rush against Texas.
- Smith's 74-yard scoring run is the longest scoring play from scrimmage this season for the Cowboys. He also established a season high with 140 yards on seven carries.
- WR Josh Cooper has now caught at least one pass in 23-consecutive games.
- With 57 yards today against Texas, Cooper moved past Alonzo Mayes and into 12 place on the career receiving yards list. Cooper has 1,375 yards in his four-year career.th
- WR Hubert Anyiam had 47 yards today and now has 1,019 in his career. He is the 23 player in school history to record 1,000 career receiving yards and moved into 21 place on the career receiving yards list.
- Weeden has thrown at least one TD pass in 19-straight contests.
- OSU has completed a pass of at least 31 yards in 14-consecutive games.
- The Cowboy defense set a season-high for tackles-for-loss with nine in the first half alone against the Longhorns. OSU finished with 12 TFLs.
- DE Jamie Blatnick established a career high with nine tackles against Texas.
- Blatnick recorded 4.0 tackles-for-loss in today's game, the most by a Cowboy since Nathan Peterson recorded five against Baylor on Nov. 17, 2007.
- CB Justin Gilbert also set a career high with 11 tackles today.
- Justin Gilbert's 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to start the second half is his second KO return for a TD of the season and the fourth of his career. The sophomore has tied Perrish Cox for the most in an OSU career.
