It will be Oklahoma State's turn in the national spotlight Wednesday evening as ESPN airs the second episode in its series entitled Depth Chart
The program is part of ESPN's Year of the Quarterback initiative and features behind the scenes looks at the quarterback position at three schools: Auburn, Oklahoma State and Wisconsin.
The one-hour segment on the OSU Cowboys will air for the first time 6 p.m. Wednesday on ESPN.
An ESPN crew was in Stillwater from the beginning of fall camp through the opening against the University of Louisiana and spent time in the meeting rooms, on the practice fields and even in the homes of the Cowboy quarterbacks.
Utilizing specialized cameras and lenses, the filmmakers capture the drama playing out live on the field with a cinematic quality previously unseen in this genre on ESPN. Depth Chart is produced by ESPN Content Development and DLP Entertainment.
"Depth Chart is a perfect fit for our YQB initiative, which explores the complexities of being a quarterback both on and off the field," says Vinnie Malhotra, executive producer, ESPN Content Development. "This position is so closely scrutinized that we created this series to draw back the curtain and really show fans what it takes to play quarterback in one of America's top college football programs."
ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit will narrate the series.
About Year of the Quarterback Year of the Quarterback (YQB) is a year-long, in-depth examination of one of the most critical, coveted and talked-about positions in all of sports with content across all platforms including television, radio, ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine.
