STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State cross country program continues its proud tradition of hosting the nation's longest annually held cross country meet this year, with the historic Cowboy Jamboree scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25, at the OSU Cross Country Course.
This year's edition of the nationally recognized meet will once again feature some of the top competition in the country. In addition to the defending national champion Cowboys, teams from around the state and country will travel to Stillwater for the meet.
The event, one of the largest non-championship meets in the country, dates back to 1937, with 2010 marking the 73rd edition of the race.
In previous years, more than 500 teams and 6,000 athletes have competed in the event, while more than 15,000 fans have come annually to see the race.
