COLUMBUS, Ohio - Two current members of Oklahoma State's men's golf team will be in action this week at the Nationwide Tour's Children's Hospital Invitational at The Ohio State University Scarlet Course.
Rising juniors Morgan Hoffmann and Peter Uihlein received invitations to join the 144-player field after achieving All-America status last season.
Both players have had successful summers with Hoffmann qualifying for the U.S. Open and Uihlein winning the Sahalee Players Championship.
The start will mark the second-straight year Hoffmann has played in the event. In 2009, he tied for eighth place after firing rounds of 70, 69, 70 and 70, while teammate Rickie Fowler lost in a playoff to Derek Lamely.
The start will be Uihlein's first on the Nationwide circuit. In 2006, he competed at the PGA Tour's Buick Championship where he missed the cut after signing for rounds of 72 and 74.
Uihlein will tee off at 8:50 a.m. (EST) on Thursday and is grouped with Mark Blakefield and Texas A&M's Andrea Pavan. Hoffmann with play in the afternoon, starting at 1:50 p.m. with Oregon State's Diego Velasquez and Augusta State's Patrick Reed.
Also in the field this week is former Cowboy All-American Casey Wittenberg.
