Cowgirl Track and Field Finish Competition in Norman

Norman, Okla.—The Oklahoma State Cowgirl track and field team finished the weekend with their second day of competition in Norman at the John Jacob's Invitational.
The Cowgirls had a tight race during the 3,000 meter run finishing second, third, fourth, fifth, and seventh. Freshmen Victoria Hanna and Jacqueline Campos finished second and third with times of 10:08.51 and 10:13.19, respectively.
Melanie Funke, Alyse Goldsmith and Kate Kujawa finished fourth, fifth and seventh with times of 10:19.85, 10:20.16, and 10:27.88. Redshirt Freshman Alyssa Henrichs had a season best at the discus throw notching a mark of 40.04.
The Cowgirls will return to action April 23 and 24 for the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in Berkeley, Calif.
