Cowboys Compete at John Jacobs Invite

NORMAN, Okla. – A portion of runners on Oklahoma State's Cowboy track team battled rain and cooler temperatures at the John Jacobs Invitational on Saturday.
The Cowboy entrants in the 3,000 meters were the most impressive Saturday with OSU runners taking three of the top four spots.
David Chirchir led the Cowboys and the field across the line in a time of 8:28.37. Senior Daniel Watts finished second with a time of 8:37.98, followed by Joseph Manilafasha with an 8:41.92.
Klaus Schmidt and Brad McNiff suited up for the Cowboys in the 1,500 meter run with Schmidt being the first OSU athlete to cross the line. He finished with a time of 4:05.77, while McNiff clocked a 4:07.01.
