Cowboys Finish Busy Day at Stanford

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Oklahoma State's Cowboy track team completed a busy day at the Stanford Invitational on Friday with junior Johnathan Stublaski notching one of the fastest times in the nation for the early outdoor season.
Stublaski turned in an impressive performance in the 1,500 meters finishing with a time of 3:46.56 to win his heat and finish in eighth place overall.
It was easily the fastest 1,500 meter time of Stublaski's career and, based on other events around the country being contested today, should put Stublaski in the top 15 on the 1,500 meter performance list.
Junior Sean Fleming was the fastest Cowboys of the four that entered the 5,000 meters, crossing the line in 14:28.21.
In the 3,000 meter steeplechase, freshman Taylor Monaghan and senior David Chirchir recorded the first steeplechase times of the outdoor season for the Cowboys.
