Cowgirl Soccer Releases Spring Schedule

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State will play nine exhibition matches during the spring of 2010, it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Colin Carmichael.
The Cowgirls open the spring slate Feb. 20 in Little Rock, Ark, where they'll face a pair of NCAA Tournament teams from last season in Memphis and Ole Miss. Carmichael's squad will also play matches against Texas Tech, TCU, UCO, Tulsa and Arkansas, with two other opponents still to be determined.
OSU will play three home games at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex. The Cowgirls will face UCO and Tulsa on March 6 in Stillwater and will host Arkansas March 13.
The Cowgirls finished the 2009 season with a 15-7-2 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship for the fourth-straight season. OSU also captured its second consecutive Big 12 Conference championship, winning the conference tourney title.
OSU returns eight starters from a year ago, including All-Big 12 performers Annika Niemeier, Melinda Mercado and AD Franch.
