STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — James Anderson matched his season high with 31 points, Keiton Page added a career-high 25 points and Oklahoma State routed Oklahoma 97-76 on Saturday in the Bedlam rivalry game.
The Cowboys (17-7, 5-5 Big 12) put the game away with a 16-0 spurt early in the second half that started and finished with dunks by Matt Pilgrim. His right-handed jam began the run, and it only ended after he was called for a technical foul for hanging on the rim too long after a two-handed alley-oop slam that made it 67-43.
Oklahoma State eventually led 88-58 after Page's driving layup with 6:23 left.
Tommy Mason-Griffin led Oklahoma (13-11, 4-6) with 30 points, but 18 of those came after the Sooners were already down by 30. Oklahoma played without top scorer Willie Warren (illness) and top rebounder Tiny Gallon, who was suspended.
The Cowboys, meanwhile, were without injured point guard Ray Penn. Penn had missed four straight games with a knee injury before playing against Texas Tech, but he was back on crutches as OSU earned a split in the regular-season series against the Sooners.
Anderson more than made up for lost time from that overtime loss in Norman, when the Cowboys squandered an eight-point lead immediately after he went to the bench after smacking his head on the floor.
Anderson had 27 points by halftime as Oklahoma State built a 10-point lead, and then helped facilitate the offense after that. He set up OSU's first three baskets of the second half, including Pilgrim's first dunk and a fast-break layup by Page.
It ended up as the most lopsided Bedlam game since Oklahoma State won 77-56 in Stillwater in 2004 on its way to the Final Four. The Cowboys have won two of the last three meetings after losing five in a row.
Obi Muonelo added 17 points and Pilgrim had 16 points, nine rebounds and three steals for Oklahoma State.
Cade Davis had 19 points and Tony Crocker scored 16 for the Sooners.
Oklahoma State charged back after Crocker's four-point play gave the Sooners a 21-15 lead, with Anderson and Muonelo teaming up for an 18-3 run. Anderson scored eight points in a 41-second span and put OSU back on top, and the Cowboys never trailed again.
