The Basics
The Oklahoma State Cowboy and Cowgirl track & field teams travel to their busiest weekend of the young season. The Cowboys travel to Seattle for the Husky Classic, while the majority of the Cowgirl squad heads to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Tyson Invitational.
Last Time Out
The Cowboys claimed the top two spots in the 1000 meters at the Oklahoma Christian II with Raul Botezan taking first-place honors. For the Cowgirls, Kendra Woodson was first in the 800-meter run.
Making Provisions
Sophomore Colby Lowe and freshman Tom Farrell hit NCAA provisional qualifying marks in the 3,000 meters on Jan. 22 at the Razorback Invitational.
Head West, Young Woman
While the majority of the Cowgirl squad heads to Fayetteville, junior Mihaela Susa and Felicity Milton head to the Husky Classic in Seattle to compete in the 3000 and 5000 meters, respectively.
From Behind the "Vail"
Cowboy three-time cross country All-American Ryan Vail joins former Cowboy David Jankowski in the USA Cross Country Championships Open Division. Current Cowboy freshmen Taylor Monaghan, Matt Perez and Michael Lynch will compete in the junior race, where German Fernandez is the two-time defending champion. The top finishers in the USA XC Championships will represent the United States at the World XC Championships.
