Former OSU Golfer Passes Away

FRONTENAC, Mo. - Former Oklahoma State golfer Jim Tom Blair passed away on Monday due to complications from multiple sclerosis at the age of 79.
A letterwinner for OSU in 1951, Blair captured Missouri state amateur titles in 1952 and 1955. He was a three-time St. Louis District Golf Association champion and participated in several U.S. Opens. Blair also competed as an amateur on the PGA Tour during the 1950s.
The son of the late Missouri Governor James Blair, he was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2001 and is a member of the St. Louis Golf Hall of Fame. Blair also served as a board member of the Western Golf Association.
Blair is survived by his wife, Myrna; daughter, Carolyn Nichols and sons, Mike and Jim.
