Oliver Earns Big 12 Wrestler of the Month

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State sophomore All-American Jordan Oliver is the first student-athlete of the 2010-11 season selected as the Big 12 Wrestler of the Month for competitions during November. This is the first career weekly conference honor for Oliver.
Oliver has been tearing through the wrestling scene this month with several big wins under his belt. Oliver, the No. 1 wrestler in the 133-pound division, won the Oklahoma City Open in the Cowboy's first competition of the season. He then faced Boise State's Andrew Hochstrasser, the then-No. 1 wrestler in the 133-pound weight division, in the NWCA All-Star Classic, winning 8-4. Oliver finished out the month adding to the Cowboy's bonus point victories in their first match of the season against Bucknell. Oliver was awarded a technical fall win against Alex Pellicciotti from Bucknell, beating him 22-4.
Oliver and the Cowboy's return to action Dec. 5 when they travel to Minneapolis, Minn. to face the Minnesota Gophers.
