Harrison Named Big 12 Player of the Week

Oklahoma State freshman receiver Michael Harrison has been named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Kansas, the Big 12 Conference announced today.
Harrison, a native of Atlanta, Texas, made a game-changing play in OSU's 48-14 win at Kansas. With the Cowboys leading 27-14 in the third quarter, the redshirt freshman blocked a Kansas punt and returned it five yards for a touchdown, slamming the door on the Jayhawks in a game that helped keep Oklahoma State in first place of the Big 12 South standings.
The Cowboys have received eight conference player of the week awards this season, including four offensive, two defensive and two special teams honors. It is also OSU's third consecutive week with a player to win the award, as Orie Lemon won the defensive honor for his performance against Texas and Brandon Weeden won the offensive honor for his game against Baylor.
