IRVING, Texas – Nine members of the Oklahoma State football team were named to the 2010 Academic All-Big 12 Football Team, the Big 12 Conference announced today.
Six OSU athletes were named to the first team, including seniors Anthony Hill, Bryant Ward and Brandon Weeden; sophomore Patrick Hoog; and freshmen Andrew Hudson and Charlie Moore, while three were named to the second team, including seniors Ugo Chinasa and Shane Jarka and sophomore David Paulsen.
As a mark of consistent success in the classroom, 2010 marks the fifth-consecutive year Oklahoma State has had at least nine athletes on the all-conference academic team. It also marks Shane Jarka's third-straight year on the squad, as he was named to the first team in 2009 and the second team in 2008.
