Lemon Named Big 12 Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State linebacker Orie Lemon was named a Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Texas, the Big 12 announced today.
Lemon, a senior from Houston, Texas, had 13 tackles, including 10 solo stops in Oklahoma State's first win at Texas since 1944. He recorded a quarterback sack for an eight-yard loss and had another tackle for a three-yard loss in helping limit Texas to 133 yards of offense in the first half. Lemon is third nationally in solo tackles with 7.8 per game.
For the season, Lemon leads the Cowboys in solo tackles (78), assisted tackles (21) and total tackles (99).
Oklahoma State now has seven Big 12 Player of the Week awards in 2010, including four offensive, two defensive and a special teams honor. It is OSU's second-consecutive week to receive the award, as quarterback Brandon Weeden earned the offensive honor last week.
