Oklahoma State Head Coach Mike Gundy
Opening Statement:
Obviously, we played very well in the second half. I thought the adjustments that were made by our coaching staff were really good. We had great leadership in the locker room from our junior and senior players. Our veteran guys have been in a situation like this.
On Oklahoma State's play in the second half:
They played one play at a time in the second half. Our defense didn't give up any points at all in the second half. It was a great job by the defense. We were not very good in the first half. We didn't get enough pressure on the quarterback. We got more pressure in the second half. We were able to pull him down. Obviously, the first drive in the second half was important. We had an interception to score again and we scored again. We took control of the game at that point.
On trailing to Louisiana at halftime:
When we came in at halftime, we were definitely in a hornet's nest. They were full of energy. (Louisiana's) crowd was into it. Everything was playing in their favor. I thought our players handled themselves very well. They kept their composure and they were able to take control of the game.
On moving forward:
It was a good win for us. As I mentioned to the team, it only gets tougher from this point on. They are very aware of this. It's important that we take tomorrow off and get ready on Sunday for the next game.
