Uihlein Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Peter Uihlein was named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month for September it was announced today by the league office.

The Orlando, Fla., native began the fall season with a first-place showing at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational. He matched his career low round with a 65 en route to a 6-under 204 total while helping the Cowboys to a second-place finish.

Uihlein posted a runner-up finish at the Ping/Golfweek Preview last week at Karsten Creek in Stillwater to extend his string of top fives to five-straight events. In the process, he helped the Cowboys to their first team title of the year.

Currently the top-ranked player in the country according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index, Uihlein has received the monthly honor from the league office three times.
