KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Oklahoma State is ranked No. 7 in this week's NSCAA/HendrickCars.com National Rankings, equaling the program's highest-ever national ranking.
The Cowgirls are 11-1-1 overall and 4-0-0 in Big 12 Conference play this season and are on a 10-match unbeaten streak (nine wins, one tie). OSU has been nationally ranked throughout the 2010 season and is in its second consecutive week in the top 10.
OSU also achieved a No. 7 national ranking in 2006 and 2008. The Cowgirls entered the 2008 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship ranked seventh and also climbed to that mark in November of 2006.
Coach Colin Carmichael's squad is also prominent in the first official NCAA Women's Soccer RPI, which was released today. OSU is seventh in those standings, the highest of any Big 12 team.
The Cowgirls return to action Friday at Kansas.
