Cowboys Finish Fifth At Isleworth

WINDERMERE, Fla. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team closed out its fall schedule on Tuesday with a fifth-place tie at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational at Isleworth Country Club.
The Cowboys posted a third-round 300 to finish at 895, 31-over, and tied with TCU. Alabama took top honors at the par-72, 7,544-yard layout, finishing with an 884 total.
Florida's Bank Vongvanij fired a 68 to finish at 4-under 212 and two shots ahead of second-round leader Robin Wingardh of Tennessee for first in the individual race.
A pair of Cowboys, Morgan Hoffmann and Kevin Tway, logged their second-straight top 10s to lead the way for OSU.
Hoffmann posted a 2-over 74 to finish at 216 and maintain his hold on third place. The finish was the junior's second in a row after tying for 10th in his last start at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational.
Tway used a 75 during his final round to finish alone in seventh at 219. The senior also finished seventh in the squad's outing at the Nicklaus Invite.
Freshman Talor Gooch tied for 37th place at 229 after posting a 75 during his third round.
Redshirt freshman Brad Gehl wrapped up his first career start with a 76 to finish at 232 and tied for 48th.
Freshman Ian Davis' 81 tied him for 68th place at 242.
