Peter Uihlein Helps U.S. To Victory

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Oklahoma State sophomore Peter Uihlein helped the United States defend its title at the Copa de las Americas this weekend at Olivos Golf Club in Argentina.
The American team finished with a 10-over-par total of 1,158 to finish 12 shots clear of host-country Argentina.
Uihlein carded rounds of 76, 69, 70 and 72 to finish at 287, 1-over par, and alone in fourth place in the individual standings. The Orlando, Fla., native finished one shot behind Puerto Rico's Rafael Campos for third place.
Argentina's Emiliano Grillo finished atop the leaderboard on the men's side at 7-under 279.
Uihlein's partner, Nathan Smith, finished in fifth place at 288. The duo's 575 total was good for a second-place finish on the men's side and was five shots off the pace of Argentina.
On the women's side, Americans Jennifer Song and Jessica Korda carded a 583 total for a 10-shot win over Colombia.
