The Sooners had won five straight games in the series — including sweeping the regular season last year — before Oklahoma State stunned No. 6 Oklahoma 71-70 in the quarterfinals of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship last March in Oklahoma City. OU has held a dominating edge in the all-time matchups in Norman, displayed by a 77-26 record at home vs. the Cowboys.
Junior guard James Anderson averaged 21 points in three games against the Sooners last season. In five career games, he is shooting 43.6 percent from the floor vs. OU but just 31.8 percent from beyond the arc. Senior guard Obi Muonelo is averaging 13.8 points in five career games against Oklahoma, and has made 12-of-27 (44.4 percent) shots from beyond the three-point arc against the Sooners.
Cowboy-Sooner Ties
The Bedlam basketball programs have several ties between current players. Cowboy forward Marshall Moses and Sooner guard Tony Crocker both attended The Patterson School in North Carolina. OSU junior forward Matt Pilgrim and OU forward Orlando Allen attended high schools less than five miles apart in Cincinnati, Ohio, during the 2004-05 academic year. Cowboy freshman forward Torin Walker attended Northside High School in Columbus, Ga., while Sooner sophomore guard Ray Willis attended Westlake High School outside of Atlanta. The two schools are approximately 90 miles apart.

Oklahoma State stays on the road as the Cowboys head to Waco, Texas, to take on the Baylor Bears (12-1, 1-0) on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 3 p.m. The game will be televised by the Big 12 Network. Recap of the Tech Game
Oklahoma State utilized a 29-1 run over a seven-minute span midway through the first half, including 14 points by James Anderson, and the Cowboys dominated the 22nd-ranked Red Raiders 81-52 Saturday night. OSU went from down six at 21-15 to up 22 at 44-22. Anderson scored 25 of his game-high 28 points before intermission and only took five shots in the second period. Obi Muonelo registered his second double-double of the season and the 10th of his career with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Tech. The Cowboy defense forced 21 turnovers by the Red Raiders while commiting just nine of its own.
