Dietz Logs Another Big Mark In Discus

MANHATTAN - Oklahoma State's Merritt Dietz posted her second-best mark of the season in the discus throw Saturday in winning the event at the Ward Haylett Invitational. Dietz recorded a toss of 53.29 meters to further strengthen her resume heading into next week's Big 12 Championships in Lubbock.
Also competing in the discus for the Cowgirls Saturday were Courtney Gougler, who took fifth with a toss of 46.98 meters and Kaitlin Hamilton, who was 11th with a 41.32-meter heave. Hamilton was also in the shot put, logging a 13.40-meter toss. Rounding out the action for OSU was Gougler in the hammer throw. She recorded a toss of 47.52 meters.
