STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State sophomore Kevin David has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District baseball team, it was announced today by CoSIDA.
David was one of two catchers named first-team Academic All-District in District Six and will now be included on the ballot for Academic All-America voting.
A native of Baton Rouge, La., David is majoring in finance and carries a 3.75 G.P.A. He has been named to the OSU Dean's Honor Roll three times and is also a three-time OSU Academic Achievement Award winner.
In addition, David has been named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll five times and is a first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection in 2009.
David leads OSU with a .354 batting average and his 21 doubles are tops in the Big 12 Conference. He's also second on the Cowboys with 41 RBIs, to go along with four home runs, a pair of triples and a .579 slugging percentage.
