Hey fans!
This morning we woke up bright and early to hit the streets of Glasgow. We shopped around with the locals on Buchanan street which was the street where the majority of the shopping took place. There was an assortment of shops from trendy clothing shops to mainly "football" shops. There was even a shop designated for only kilts... both men and women!
After shopping til we dropped we headed back to Ayr to rest and eat the pre-game meal before our 7:00pm match vs. Kilmarnock Football Club. We played in the town of Kilwinning about 20 minutes away from Ayr. The match started off to a race with Kasey Langdon putting away two quick goals in the first 15 minutes of action. Just before halftime, Katie Richardson scored a breakaway to put us ahead 3-0. About ten minutes into the second half Krista Lopez scored a cross by forward Becky Garrett. With about ten minutes left to play, Kasey completed her hat trick by scoring her third goal of the game. Becky Garrett had her second assist of the game for the final goal. The game concluded with a 5-0 victory for the Cowgirls!
Tomorrow we are off to the Scottish coast and then ending the day with a match against the Glasgow Rangers (finalist in the Scottish Women's FA cup)!
