Oklahoma State's men's golf team extended its lead to 13 strokes on Friday during the second round of action at the NCAA South Central Regional after posting a 289 at Karsten Creek Golf Club.
On a day that saw scores rise due to a steady wind that blew from 20-25 mph, the Cowboys had three players shoot par or better and stand as one of just three teams in the field to improve on its first-round total. OSU will enter the final round at the par-72, 7,407-yard layout with a 9-over total of 585.
Tennessee-Chattanooga holds down the No. 2 spot at 598, while Arkansas finished in third at 599.

Uihlein got going on the front nine with birdies at Nos. 2 and 5. After a bogey at the sixth, he tacked on another birdie at the seventh to turn at 2-under 34. Uihlein got to 4-under for the day with birdies at the 12th and 14th before coming back to 2-under with bogeys at the 15th and 18th to finish the day.

OSU sophomore Kevin Tway made a move up the leaderboard as well, jumping 16 spots into a tie for fifth at 2-over 146. The Edmond, Okla., native posted a 72 on Friday that included three birdies on his back nine.
Freshman Morgan Hoffmann matched Tway's 72 with one of his own to bounce back from his opening 77 and move into a tie for 19th place at 149. The Wyckoff, N.J., native stood at 4-over on the day after posting eight pars and a pair of double bogeys. After an eagle at the par-4 12th, Hoffmann carded a birdie at the 13th and closed with a birdie at the par-5 18th to get back to level par.
