Morgan Hoffmann Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

IRVING, Texas—Oklahoma State's Morgan Hoffmann has been named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month for competition held in March the league office announced today.
Hoffmann helped the Cowboys to runner-up finishes at both the Southern Highlands Collegiate and the Linger Longer Invitational. The freshman closed the month by helping OSU break through with its first win of the spring at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate.
At Southern Highlands Golf Club, the Saddle Brook N.J., native fired a 62 during the second round to match the school's 18-hole scoring record. The 10-under score propelled Hoffmann to a runner-up finish in the individual race.
After a 13th-place showing at the Linger Longer, Hoffmann tied for first at the Morris Williams for his second career victory. In the process, the Cowboys finished 25 shots clear of the field to pick up the team title.
Hoffmann is currently ranked No. 4 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.
