Cowboy Golf Ready For Aggie Invitational

BRYAN, Texas —Oklahoma State's men's golf team will return to action this weekend when it travels to Bryan, Texas to take part in the Aggie Invitational.
The tournament will be conducted at Traditions Golf Club and is comprised of 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. OSU will be one of 12 teams in action at the par-72, 7,235-yard layout. Tournament scoring will be done with a six-count-five format with each team counting the top five scores out of its six players competing.
The Cowboys won the inaugural event in 2005 and finished third in 2006. This year marks the first time the tournament has been held after a two-year hiatus.
A pair of OSU players enter the week ranked in the top 10 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index, with freshman Morgan Hoffmann ranking fifth and senior Trent Leon holding down the No. 7 spot.
Sophomore Rickie Fowler is ranked 12th, while junior Trent Whitekiller is also ranked among the nation's top 30 players at No. 29.
Rounding out the lineup will be sophomore Kevin Tway and freshman Peter Uihlein.
OSU will begin its first round tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. (CST) and will be paired with tournament host Texas A&M. The Cowboys and Aggies are slated to begin their second round at 1:30 p.m.
