McNiff Leads Cowboys at John Jacobs Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. – The Oklahoma State men's track and field team sent four runners to compete at the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla., on Saturday, including Brad McNiff, who led the way for the Cowboys in two events.
The first event for Oklahoma State was the 1,500 meters, where McNiff finished in fifth place with a season-best time of 3:57.39. Following McNiff was Tucker Weems in ninth with a time of 3:59.28 and Brian Gosnell in 11th with a time of 3:59.70. John Stublaski also competed in the event, but did not finish the race.
The 800 meters was the other Cowboy event of the day, where McNiff, running in the event for the first time this season, finished in eighth with a time of 1:58.87.
Oklahoma State returns to action next weekend as the Cowboys travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the John McDonnell Invitational and to Walnut, Calif., for the Mt. SAC Relays.
