Kosgei Hits Provisional Mark in Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Oklahoma State men's track and field team sent four athletes to compete at the Arkansas Last Chance Qualifier on Friday, including John Kosgei, who reached an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the one-mile run with a time of 4:00.58.
Kosgei's time was also enough for second place, less than one second behind the winner.
John Stublaski, Sean Fleming and Brad McNiff joined Kosgei in the event. Stublaski finished sixth with a time of 4:10.03 and Fleming finished seventh with a time of 4:11.41. McNiff did not finish the race.
This was the last weekend of competition before the NCAA Indoor Championships next weekend in College Station, Texas.
