Oklahoma State Cross Country Earns National Academic Honor

STILLWATER, Okla. – Both the Oklahoma State men's and women's cross country programs were recognized as all-academic teams by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association today. The Cowboys have earned all-academic recognition from the USTFCCCA in each of the last 11 years and the Cowgirls have secured the honor in each of the last six seasons.
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The team must also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative grade point average. The Cowboys won the NCAA Midwest Regional championship and posted a 3.135 combined grade-point average in the classroom. The Cowgirls took fifth at the NCAA Midwest Regional and combined to record a team grade-point average of 3.184.
On the men's side, OSU was one of six Big 12 teams to be recognized, while the OSU women were one of nine Big 12 teams honored.
