Cowboy Golf Set To Compete At Morris Williams Intercollegiate

AUSTIN, Texas —Oklahoma State's men's golf team will be back in action this week when it takes part in the Morris Williams Intercollegiate at the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas.
OSU will be one of 18 teams in action at the par-71, 7,412-yard layout on Monday. The 54-hole event will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
The second-ranked Cowboys are coming off runner-up finishes in their last two outings after finishing second at the Southern Highlands Collegiate and the Linger Longer Invitational.
OSU enters play with a trio of players ranked in the top 15 individually in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. Leading the way is senior Trent Leon, who is currently the fifth-ranked player in the country. Freshman Morgan Hoffmann checks in at No. 9, while sophomore Rickie Fowler is currently No. 12 in the index.
Joining the trio in the lineup this week will be junior Trent Whitekiller and sophomore Kevin Tway. Competing as an individual last week at the Linger Longer, Whitekiller earned his first career victory.
The Cowboys will be paired with Texas and Southern California during Round One and will tee off at 8:30 a.m. (CST).
