Became a playmaker for the Cowboy defense in 2008 ... A talented prospect at defensive end who now has a year as a starter under his belt ... Entered OSU as one of the headliners of the 2006 recruiting class ... Was injured early in fall camp as a true freshman (2006) and redshirted his first year in Stillwater.
2008 (Sophomore): Started every game at one defensive end spot ... Led OSU's down linemen with 24 tackles during the regular season ... Set a career high with seven tackles against No. 1 Texas, including a quarterback sack and three tackles behind the line of scrimmage ... Another sack came against Baylor ... Against Texas A&M, he returned a fumble 35 yards and also had a six-yard interception return for a score ... Credited with a tackle for a four-yard loss and a quarterback hurry in the opener at Washington State ... Also had a QB hurry against Houston ... Had a tackle for loss at No. 3 Missouri ... Had one tackle for a loss against Colorado and OU ... His 8.5 tackles for loss led OSU.
2007 (Freshman): Recorded 13 tackles in nine games ... Had a season-best three tackles in the regular-season finale at Oklahoma ... Credited with a pair of stops against Sam Houston State and Florida Atlantic ... Had a tackle for a loss against Sam Houston State and a tackle for a three-yard loss against Indiana in the bowl game.
2006: Redshirt.
High School: A heavily decorated prepster after a senior season in which he registered 96 tackles, 11 sacks, six forced fumbles, two recovered fumbles and one interception that he returned for a touchdown ... Had 68 tackles and four sacks as a junior ... Helped lead his team to an undefeated regular season as a senior ... Other postseason honors included first-team all-state by the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Morning News state top 100 and selected first-team all-district ... Named the Dallas Morning News' area defensive player of the year.
