An honorable mention Class 4A all-stater (as selected by the Associated Press) and a two-time all-district selection ... Had 55 receptions for 877 yards as a senior with 11 touchdowns ... Had 49 catches for 770 yards as a junior ... Cowboys held off Nebraska, among others, for his signature... Qualified for the state track meet in the 100 ... Also played basketball.
