2008-09: A mostly unknown wrestler who placed fourth at the Big 12 Championships to earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Championships ... Won twice at the NCAA Championships, claiming a 5-2 upset win over No. 16 Justin Kerber of Cornell and a 14-6 major decision victory over Matthew Gevelinger of Brown ... Compiled a 26-13 overall record that included a 3-1 mark in duals and three wins over ranked opponents ... Hit a five-point move in sudden victory to claim a 9-4 win over No. 20 Dorian Henderson of Missouri at the Big 12 Championships ... Was part of a rotation at 184 pounds with Cody Hill and Jared Shelton ...
